History Handcraft Damascus Art Ltd.

A young Wazirabad blacksmith intern named Chiragh Din was looking for a better way to temper steel so it would hold an edge longer. His unique approach produced the first Damascus Steel Art knife in 1976. Din made each knife by hand. His creation was greatly appreciated by his fellows. Din's eldest son Muhammad had relocated from Sialkot to Wazirabad after finishing his degree. Din and his wife moved in with Muhammad and his young family in 1982 and set up shop. Following the death of his father, Muhammad kept the emerging custom knife business going. Muhammad introduced his son, Zia, to the knife business at an early age and Zia and his wife, were both involved when the company was still growing.
In 1995, the knife industry was revolutionized with the introduction of the Folding knife into local market, making Custom Damascus Art a leader in the field. A position we hold proudly today in the local market. Zia worked his way up through the company serving as President and CEO for many years before handing over the reins to his son, Habib, in 2015. In 2016, Habib went to UK to introduce HDA to a foreign market. There he served many clients and because of great quality and unique style of forging Damascus steel, HDA received numerous orders. Now, because of the faced pace world we want to take internet by storm. We are going live on all the major shopping/retail platforms and want to serve the world what we have been serving UK and Pakistan for years.
